Pray for guidance for Calix as he has a few more deputation visits to make, and for the GBM as they give their close attention to the necessary support needed, finan-cially, practically and prayerfully. The Mission Day on 24th October at the Friends Meeting House in London will be an important day in providing the opportunity for Calix and Bea to share their call with the wider gathering of supporters. It would be good if a number of us from Rehoboth could attend that day. Do speak with Rachel and Andrew if you would like to go.

Baptism it is a joy to be able to announce the baptism taking place for Jacob Polson in the morning service on 12th April. Jacob will be briefly sharing of how the Lord brought him to salvation, and the desire to obediently follow the Lord Jesus in the waters of baptism.

May we be prayerful for that witness and invite others in to join us in hearing the Gospel afresh. And if you love the Lord Jesus, but have not yet taken that step of obedience to the Lord, do speak to Calix or one of the elders about it.

Fellowship Prayer Hour - it was good to have a number of folk in the Fellowship joining for the hour of prayer on the 1st of this month. If you haven’t managed to get along to one of these times on the first Wednesday of the month, do make it a point of importance to pray together and plan to join us next month on the 6th May. As a result from both church giving and in-dividual donations, they received from us £502 for the valuable work un-dertaken at Crag House Farm, Leeds. We have received this letter of thanks:
Dear Sandra, Steve, Karl and friends at Rehoboth Grace Baptist Church
On behalf of everyone at Caring For Life, I am writing to thank you so much for your re-cent generous donations at the presentation visit by Jonathan Erin and Steve. They were so encouraged and blessed by their time with you all and your gifts will be a huge help as we take practical care and the good news of Jesus’ love to some of the most isolated and ‘at risk’ men and women here in the city of Leeds.
Steve, our agriculture project leader, wrote in the latest bulletin
“Spring has sprung at Caring For Life… with the arrival of our first two calves. It always amazes me how cow and calf know what to do instinctively without any help or interfer-ence. After calving the cow is faced with a wet, slimy thing which they lick clean, encour-age to get up within minutes and then stand for it to feed. We are merely bystanders in this miracle of creation which God has designed… It is very special when the cows calve during the day and so we can observe the whole process. It’s especially exciting for some of our newer beneficiaries who have never seen anything like it before. “
We do thank the Lord for all the opportunities that we have to share the wonder of crea-tion with those we support and the way such special events can lift them out of their trou-bles for a while. Thank you for your support which is enabling this to happen.
Please pray with us for opportunities to point them to the Creator this spring and that many will entrust their lives to the Lord and cast their burdens on Him.
We look forward to staying connected and you will be in our prayers.
I am yours in Jesus’ love,
Pam Parkinson
CFL Support Coordinator

Afternoon Fellowship. We are thankful for the range of speakers and the support we were able to give to Turning Tides, Leprosy mission, FEBA, Outreach UK, and Caring for Life. We especially enjoyed a presentation from Sue Fermor-Bradstock concerning her visit to Nkuringo in Uganda. We are now able to provide financial support to 6yr old Justine so that she can attend school. We pray for the continued health and well-being of those who regularly attend.

Connections & GBWA Continuing faithful commitment to our Connections Group. Care and concern for one another. A welcoming attitude. Loving kindness and thoughtfulness from every woman! Meeting the challenges from our book study Liberated by Karen Soole. Learning and sharing our thoughts, hopes and fears as we looked deeply into challenging questions. Prayer needed for the GBWA(SW) Fellowship Day in March with Nicola Edkins and Mary Mortimer at Guildford this time looking at Seasons in women’s lives and our callings in the church. GBWA Conference in October. For those who can attend.

Situation vacant:
After David Ansell’s ‘retirement’ from looking after the Chapel garden, is there anyone who would like to take this on? Mowing the grass once a fortnight, tidying
the borders; clearing leaves in the Autumn. Also controlling ivy on fences & weeding up the side of the Chapel. Please contact the Diaconate .

We remember to pray for God to continue to be merciful to our country and to pray for the lost around us – lost in the delusions of the devil, and the deceits of the world. May the Lord use us to be those who He will use to bring people to the cross of Christ Jesus, who sacrificed His life for the salvation of His people.

Please remember in prayer the interview that Calix and Bea have with GBM Council members, along with Stuart & Steve on Monday 24th November. May the Lord make clear the way ahead for the Furus family as they look to moving to Madeira to serve Him.
