Thought for the month (June 2011)

Those of you who know my study at Littlehaven Cottage will know that I tend to keep it “well stocked!” And I’m not speaking of liquidity ! But you will understand if I say that an all to rare occurrence is taking place with the redecoration of the room. I’m sitting at my computer with most of what’s still in the room being covered with polythene, the walls stripped and piles of old wall paper lying around me. Hence an abbreviated mag this month. But it’ll be lovely when it’s done. Though the outer shell will be the same, the inside will be transformed, made new – I hope.

What a lovely picture of our lives transformed by the renewing power of the Holy Spirit when we bring our old, dirty, sinful hearts to Jesus forgiveness, cleansing and new life inside.
Outwardly we’re the same people, but inwardly we’ve been made new creations in Christ.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!” 1 Corinthians 5vs17. Does that mean You!
