The Church and the Community 
Tearfund’s ten year vision is to see 50 million people released from material and (more importantly) spiritual poverty through a worldwide network of 100,000 local churches. This Harvest we will be sharing with you how Tearfund is beginning to see this happen by working in partnership with the Pentecostal Assemblies of God (one of their 13 Ugandan partners) and the “Church and Community Mobilisation Programme”. As part of this programme lives are being changed, men such as Richard are turning away from drink and turning to Jesus. As Jane Achaloi a Church Mobilisation Officer says “Tearfund has enabled the church to understand her biblical mandate in bringing transformation in the community.
