Two BIG happenings in June
Our Church weekend is scheduled for Friday 21st to Sun 23rd at Pilgrim Hall. We look forward to having Greg & Jenny Frost with us from Hadleigh, Suffolk. Also to lead the youth and childrens session, Vicky Piggott-Genge and her sister Judy Parson will be with us. Our numbers attending for the weekend stand at 31 adults and 18 under 15s, plus 3 others attending as day visitors on the Saturday. Thus, in Gods goodness it looks to being an interesting, lively but spiritually blessed time for those of us able to go. The theme has been left with Greg to determine and we pray the Lord will guide him in his preparations. As there are those either unable or not wishing to commit to the weekend away, Dave Ansell has very kindly agreed to return from Pilgrim Hall on the Sunday morning to conduct a service at Rehoboth. Thank you Dave.
Our Summer Picnic in New Street Garden is arranged for Sunday afternoon 30th June from 4- 6pm. Please be prayerful for this opportunity to meet some of the community. Volunteers to distribute flyers for this event would be welcome. Please see Stuart to offer.
Matters for Prayer
- Rick - please continue to pray for Rick as he returned from hospital. He is on new diuretics, but at the time of writing they do not seem to be working very well. He is feeling very tired and needs our prayers without ceasing. Pray too for Katie and the family at this severe time of trial. May the Lord be pleased to answer your need promptly and generously.
- Please remember Louise’s mother and father in your prayers. Both have been going through great trials in their health in Northern Ireland. Louise has been visiting over the Bank holiday week..Pray for her too as she has the concern and frustration of not being able to be on hand for her parents.
- Pray for Gill that her arm will quickly heal; for Wally that the surgery he had on his head will prove successful. (Congratulations, by the way, Wally, on your 90th Birthday on May 30th. God bless you richly every day to come); and Kevins mother Jean, that there may be helpful news.
