July Journeyings
We welcome Pastor David Smith from Over Baptist church, Cambridgeshire to minister at Rehoboth for the first time on July 7th and pray that he and his wife, Rebecca will feel at home as they spend the day with us. Another Pastor David (retired), David Steere, with his wife, Joyce, now from Ipswich will also make a welcome return to minister the following Sunday. May our brothers know the Lord’s hand on their ministries. Please remember also our own preachers this month.
Please continue to pray for Rick in Papworth Hospital as he awaits a heart transplant and for Katie and the family during this difficult time.
As we remember those travelling on holiday this month and pray for a period of rest and relaxation for all, we pray especially for Nick Cooke as he prepares for his return from a 6 month stay in Ghana and for Andrew, Rachel and Alex Cooke as they travel to Ghana to spend a holiday with him during his last 2 weeks there.
Rachel Warner travels out to Kenya later this month visiting a local school and we pray that she will be kept safe and have a great time out there. Congratulations also to Harry Warner on being awarded a 2:1 degree from Bristol University.
Closer to home, Matt and Heidi Steel are preparing for the Criccieth camp in August and we pray for all the arrangements that they need to finalise. We hold our Summer Picnic on 30th June and trust that we will see a good response from the local community. It was good that many from the church were able to spend a weekend away at Pilgrim Hall and we are thankful for the Lord’s provision in every respect there.
It’s also good to hear that the Arctic to Africa cycle ride continues to make good progress and the team have made it into Germany. We wish them well for the remainder of the trip.
