A letter from World Racer Bethan Borrett – To everyone at Rehoboth!

I send you greetings from South Africa, where I am just beginning Month 7 of the World Race. I feel so blessed by you as a congregation with the way you support me so well both prayerfully and financially. Also those of you have additionally supported me personally, it means an awful lot to me to know that I have your support.

The last six months could be described as a rollercoaster – you have your highs, lows, twists and turns. Just when you think God won’t throw any more surprises at you, he does. Just when you think you can’t take anymore he lifts you up and comforts you. When you think you have it all sorted you realise God still has a lot of work to do! I am living in community like never before, I’m learning to rely on God – he has taken away any control I have of the trip and I have to trust that he has my best interests at heart! I have always been a planner, I like to be in control but this is something that God has asked me to surrender!

As I write this I leave for my next ministry tomorrow and I have no idea where I will be going or what I will be doing – that goes against the grain for me. I just have to follow God, he knows where he is leading us. I am learning about what it really means to have that all-trusting relationship with him! I have so many stories already and am sure will have even more from the next five months, which I would love to share with you all when I get home.

Thank you again for the way you are blessing and supporting me. Know that I am also keeping you all in my prayers and get regular updates from my mum about specific prayer requests so continue to lift them up to our father.
