Rehoboth Awayday – Crossing Cultures with Christ

May 21st was a special day for 51 of us Rehobothians – well that includes 2 who’d travelled a bit further, from Hungary!

Jonathan Norgate enlightened us on Cambodia and the Lord’s work there. And we were challenged to cross Cultures with Christ, whether elsewhere on the earth or right where we are.

Calix Comments: My family and I have enjoyed the away day. I particularly appreciated something Johnny said. In response to my question as to what he considers encouraging in partnership in the Gospel with his supporting churches and fellow believers, he said that it was hearing about our involvement in missions here, where we are. I found that very insightful and inspiring. If I can encourage a soldier of the Lord out in the mission field by my involvement in missions here, I want to do it. Thank you, Johnny!

Alan Turnbull: Listening to Jonathan talk about Cambodia at Pilgrim Hall this year was very enjoyable and informative, especially the way the Q & A helped us understand how he and his family got to be there. It is always a great time of fellowship.

An impression received by Kaye Turnbull: To be loved by God sets us free from ourselves and enables and empowers us to serve and love others. Cameron Comments: Pilgrim Hall was fun—a great day out. Learnt different ways to pray using Duplo. Also learning how to be patient by eating doughnuts, but not by licking my lips, which was cool! The pool is always good for everyone who joins in! I would love to stay next year.
