January adjustments

Communion/ Lord’s Supper
For some years now our two monthly Communion services have been held 1st Sunday in the morning; 3rd Sunday in the evening. This came about when we used to conduct a monthly service in the former Bryce Lodge on the 1st Sunday evening. The Elders and Deacons discussed the fact that this timing can be disrupted, particularly as, for instance, our Carol Service falls on the 3rd Sunday evening in December, and there tend to be other times that crop up, particularly around 3rd Sundays, where, for good reason the communion is altered to a different Sunday. We have decided to revert to holding Communions on the 1st Sunday of the month in the evening and 3rd Sunday in the morning. This is not to say that for some particular reason the date may need adjustment still occasionally, but it is hoped that it will, for the most part, remain fixed. Please see this as a trial, which can be reviewed at a later date.
We welcome all baptised believers and who love the Lord Jesus as their Saviour and Lord to participate in the Lord’s Supper. Please enquire further of our pastor or another elder if you are unsure about this.
Prayers for:

Lillie – Nigel’s grand-daughter. Praise God that the aggressive infection in her head has gone. Pray that her health will be fully restored. Pray too for Fi and Josh at this anxious time.
Christine – who has been in hospital since before Christmas as they endeavour to deal with an infection, before having her next chemo treatment. Please remember her and Gordon in prayer at this trying and testing time. They are grateful for our prayers and for the Christmas cards sent.
Don - After transferring to a care home, Don has had a recurrence of infection and is currently in the Royal Surrey County Hospital at Guildford. Please pray fro restoration and for peace of mind for him.
Jean - is currently recovering from a nasty virus. She feels lonely and would be glad to hear from anyone in the Fellowship. Please remember her in your prayers.
June - has been suffering from severe back pains which caused her Christmas arrangements to be reduced considerably. Things are easing a little; pray she will be fully restored.
