Praise God that Alison Baker will be going through the waters of Believers’ Baptism this first Sunday of Advent. May God richly bless her, and Jason as they, later in the month, are given the right hand of fellowship into the Church at Rehoboth. May Alison’s testimony and the message of the gospel as it is preached be used to bring others to repentance and trust in the Lord Jesus.
A Christmas focus for children sees our Christingle service at 4pm on Sunday 8th - particularly for families, but all are warmly welcome to join us for that, helping us to focus on Jesus Christ, the Light of the world. And on Monday 17th at 10.30am there is the Little Verse ’Christmas Nativity’ morning. Pray for families to believe and receive the love of Christ.
Please support our Carols in New Street Garden on Friday 21st at 6.30pm. This will be the 13th time we’ve taken the message of Jesus through word, readings and song into the darkness of the garden. Our desire is that, not only may we light it with candles and torches but bring the light of Christ to New Street.
NB. A request from Judy: Please can we have a good contribution of mince pies provided. They may be left in the church kitchen beforehand. And please, wrap up well and support us there for the hour or so!
Christmas Cards. Many of us like to give cards to one another in the church. This is a lovely idea and there should be the box in the vestibule for cards to be placed in. May we ask that cards are not put in there for people who are not in the Fellowship, or who have not been worshipping with us for a long time. Please arrange to post those separately. And would anyone be willing to oversee distribution of the cards? Thank you
