Church Membership & Baptism

Following our Members AGM on 1st February, we look forward to a Service of Believer’s Baptism on Sunday 12th February at 10.30am, when April Smith will be testifying to the Lord’s saving work in her life and go through the waters of baptism. Perhaps you are one who is reading this and it is time you also took the decision to follow the Lord’s command in baptism. Don’t be afraid – have a little talk with Calix about it. 

Then on Sunday 19th at our Communion service we will have the joy of welcoming April, along with her husband, Richard and also Rose Dickson into church membership at Rehoboth giving them the right hand of fellowship. Richard has been in membership at Dorking Chapel, while Rose was a member at the former Holbrook Church. 

Prayer

A number of folk need our prayers. Let’s bear them up at the throne of God’s grace:

  • Elizabeth  – out of hospital, but further visits to come; that there’ll be better news;
  • Doris  – that the Lord would enable her to feel more settled and happy in Rosedale.
  • June  – ongoing severe back pain restricting movement; that suitable treatment be found.
  • Don – now in Worplesdon View Care Home, Worplesdon Rd, Guildford GU3 3LQ
  • Christine  – Having four weekly daily chemo injections; that she will feel better in herself.
  • Graham  – Andrew’s father, in Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest; for peace and wisdom. .
  • Margaret – Sally’s mother, recovering from a stroke in Epsom Hospital; for restoration.
  • John & Valerie – sorting out things concerning their friend now moved to Kings Mead Care Centre

Praying for Mission

We’ve started a weekly Mission Prayer rota to remember Missionaries in our prayers in Sunday Services and other meetings in the week. Rachel Cooke is organising it and makes contact with the missionary of the week for up to the minute requests. To start with we have been focussing particularly on Grace Baptist Mission workers, but as time goes on will be including those in Outreach UK and Overseas Mission Fellowship and others.
