Fellowship matters for prayer:

  • Please pray often for Peter & Sue ; for Sue that she might be strengthened spiritually and physically in her care for Pete day by day, and for Pete that he might be strengthened and sustained in his spirit in the extremity of his condition.
  • Sunday School: Please remember to pray for our children and young people, and for Sunday School and
  • Bible Class leaders as they seek to teach and nurture the young ones in coming to faith in Jesus.
  • Give thanks for improvement in health for some of our older folk. May they know the blessing of the presence of the Lord in their home situations.
  • Quite a number of people have been contacted on the doors in the local area. Although we can’t mention everybody by name, please do remember to pray that words spoken, tracts handed out, by Calix and others of us on the doorstep will be used by the Holy Spirit to stir, challenge, nag even, folk into thinkingabout their need to turn to God in repentance. An interesting experience this week was to be talking to a guy holding onto his dog in the doorway, with a parrot sitting on the stair rail behind him looking on. We wondered whether it might ’parrot’ back to him later something we said. Vain repetition? … No!

Other prayer & praise:

  • Tuesday Afternoon Fellowship (Pat) We give thanks for the growth in numbers and that we have agood mixture of men and women who attend our fortnightly meetings, including a small number for whomthis is their only contact with our church. Last meeting there were 22 of us gathered. Please pray for the health of some of our members who have experienced ill health during the year.
  • Connections (Sandra) Praise the Lord that following a period of doubt and discouragement at the start oflast year He stepped in and blessed the continued meetings that were held. We are thankful for the waywe have seen one another built up through fellowship in the Lord, particularly in our studies around Pilgrim’s Progress
  • Christianity Explored (Rachel & Heidi) We are thankful that we were able to run CE again in 2016 andfor the two attendees who came faithfully every week. We are thankful for our committed prayersupporters. Please pray that with God’s help we will be able to run the course again in 2017.
  • Prayer & Bible Study

Group A (Steve) We praise the Lord for good numbers attending (up to 18) during the year. We are finding the studies undertaken in Luke’s gospel quite stimulating.

Group B (Rick & Katie) Although this group is smaller in number it is a great encouragement to those who do attend. We praise the Lord for good discussions prompted by the DVD’s that have been shown. We would like to pray for 1 or 2 who attended in the past but have stopped coming in recent times.
